Generally speaking, moths fly at night and butterflies during the day but there are some moths that fly only during the day. Also moths tend to rest with their wongs alongside their bodies whilst butterflies rest with their wings held vertically. The main difference however, is in the antennae or feelers. A butterfly always has a clubbed antennae and a moth has feathery or pointed antennae. |
